Privacy policy

Through the contact and registration form: first and last name, email address, phone number (optional), country and city, your message and any files you attach. We also record whether you agreed to receive news and whether you agreed to your name being shown on the map.

To answer your enquiry, include you in the community and on the map, publish your story (only with your consent) and, if you wish, send you news. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).

The map shows only the approximate location of your city. Your name and city are shown only if you explicitly ticked that box in the form. Email and phone are never published.

For as long as you are a member of the community or until you withdraw consent. Enquiry data is kept for no longer than 2 years after the last correspondence.

Data is stored on the website server. The map uses Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd.); to place your city on the map, only the city and country name are sent to Google or OpenStreetMap geocoding. We never sell data.

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, restrict processing, withdraw consent and receive your data in a portable format. You can also lodge a complaint with the State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt).
